Responsibilities:

• Running diagnostic tests on truck fleet.
• Maintenance of fleet trucks, plant equipment.
• Analyzing diagnostic test results.
• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
• Checking vehicle lighting systems.
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
• Fault find mechanical, Hydraulic and basic electrical faults and repair equipment in breakdown situation.
• Performing preventative maintenance and repair work, overhauls, and installations as appropriate are carried out.
• To anticipate, report or repair any equipment requiring remedial work that may affect the continuity of operations.
• Clear understanding of Diagnostic equipment and procedures.
• To complete accurate records for all work completed using Service and Inspection schedules.
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
• Maintaining a parts inventory.
• To identify and maintain quantity and functionality of tools and equipment.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification and/ or certification
• Must have Diesel and Petrol however more Diesel experience is required
• Volvo experience advantageous
• Valid driver's license.
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
• Good IT and diagnostic skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kgs.
• Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
• Great attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good organization skills.
• Calm and effective customer management.
