Civil Site Engineer

To qualify for this position you must have current civil work experience in the field / on site with experience in Groundworks. 

Qualification: Three or four-year degree in civil engineering or engineering science. Associate membership of a chartered engineering institution.

Preferred Candidates :- Working with Groundswork Teams in respect of Utilities ( Water / Power / Telecoms) installation, Footpath Kerbs ,  Landscaping etc.
Working with Resurfacing Teams in respect of the out lay of Asphalt products in Private & Public Roads. 

Responsibilities:

Civil/Site design activities for projects and studies in various development stages: pre-feasibility, feasibility, concept design, basic design, detailed design, permitting.
Engineering calculations and sizing
Being adept at using a Total Survey Station
Working with Groundswork Teams in respect of Utilities ( Water / Power / Telecoms) installation, Footpath Kerbs , Landscaping etc.
Working with Resurfacing Teams in respect of the out lay of Asphalt products in Private & Public Roads
Reviewing  Bill of quantities during work and reporting to QS & PM on variations
Technical support during construction works
Attendance to internal project review meetings
Attendance to meetings with clients together with PM (Project Manager)
Reports progress on project activities to PM
Estimate duration, propose, and agree on deadlines with PM for allocated design activities
Supporting the PM in respect of onsite functions

Qualifying questions:

Do you have a Bachelor degree in Civil/Site Engineering with a minimum 5 years of relevant road/civils design experience?
Do you have good knowledge operating with Autocad and MS Office, Revit, Civil 3D (obligatory) or other 3D design software?
Are you fluent in reading, written and spoken English?
Can you communicate clearly with the ability to explain design ideas and plans?
Do you have a full clean driving license?
Are you accredited with full membership of a chartered institution?
How many years site / Groundswork experience do you have?

Accommodation provided: 1st month free, thereafter €100/wk
Annual remuneration: €50,000
47.5 hrs/wk
Hourly rate: €20.24
Company van will be provided
