Motor Mechanic / Technician

Overview

Qualified Nissan Motor Technician with at least 5 years' Franchise Dealership experience is a must. 

We are seeking a skilled Motor Technician to join our team. The Motor Technician will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various types of motors to ensure optimal functionality. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for delivering high-quality workmanship. Experience in the Nissan brand preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting motors to identify issues and determine the best course of action for repairs
  • Repairing or replacing defective parts, such as bearings, armatures, and wiring
  • Performing routine maintenance on motors to prevent breakdowns and prolong their lifespan
  • Testing motors to ensure they are functioning correctly before returning them to service
  • Keeping detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Adhering to safety protocols and regulations while working with electrical and mechanical components
  • Collaborating with other team members to troubleshoot complex motor issues.
    Carry out all servicing requirements for Nissan and other makes/models of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
    Strong skills in diagnosing and repairing electrical and current technologies in modern vehicles.
    Ability to remove and replace/refit all relevant parts in motor vehicles. 
    Experience with electric vehicles a plus.
    Must be able to work well in a team, but also able to take their own initiative when needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Motor Technician or similar role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of various types of motors and their components
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment and interpret technical manuals
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Certification or training in motor repair and maintenance is a plus

Day-to-day

  • Inspecting and diagnosing motor issues
  • Conducting repairs and replacements as needed
  • Performing routine maintenance on motors
  • Testing and validating the functionality of motors
  • Collaborating with team members on complex motor projects
  • Updating records and documentation for all motor-related activities

Qualifying Questions:

Do you have experience in a franchise dealership [preferably Nissan] workshop?
Do you have expertise in diagnostics equipment and evaluation of results?
Are you proficient in English oral and written communication?
Do you have a valid SA/EU/UK driver licence?
Do you have the relevant qualifications? 
Do you have at least a minimum of 5 years experience? 

Company Benefits:

€36500 per annum. 
39 hours per week at €18 - €21 per hour depending on experience.
Assistance with flights and 1st month's accommodation.
Assistance with first year residence permit cost.
