Job description -HGV Mechanic

The Mechanic will work towards ensuring all bus fleets are fully maintained and serviced within a timeframe with ongoing focus providing excellent and reliable service to Customers.
Reporting to: Maintenance Manager

Screening Questions:
Have you completed & successfully passed manufacturer training?
Are your certification's maintained?
Do you have mechanical and diagnostic software experience?
Do you have a valid HGV or Bus SA / EU / UK driver licence?
Do you have mechanical, electrical, air conditioner experience for a bus?
how would you assess your proficiency in English literacy, reading, writing and speaking?
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Adhering to the DOE schedules.
- Liaise with the mechanical foreman on bus parts required to carry out a service.
- Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Be computer literate.
- Ensure good housekeeping by maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
- Work with bus models such as Scania, Volvo, Mercedes, Iveco, Man.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Fully qualified Mechanic
- Have a minimum of 5yrs experience incorporating Bus and HGV Maintenance
- D license Essential
- Strong electrical & mechanical diagnostics ability and experience
- Flexibility
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Must have a HGV Driver Licence.
